We have our poll results right here
It is time for us to take a look at this week’s SB Nation Reacts results for our Minnesota Vikings poll. This week was, for the most part, all about trades, so let’s take a look at what fans of the purple think of what the Vikings have done and what they might do.
First off, the number of fans who feel the Vikings are moving in the right direction continues to go down, despite being the NFC’s only remaining undefeated team and coming off of a bye week.
Of those who responded to our poll for this week, 94% of them feel that the team is moving in the right direction. This is still a pretty high number, obviously, but considering that the number peaked at 98% a few weeks ago and nothing really bad has happened since, it seems strange that it’s going downwards.
We also asked everyone what they thought about the trade for running back Cam Akers. This is the second straight season that the Vikings have acquired Akers to provide some backfield depth, and fans seem to like history repeating itself.
The Akers deal was voted to be a good one by 62% of the folks who responded to our poll, while another 35%, apparently, didn’t have terribly strong feelings about it. Only 3% of our readers thought it was a bad trade, so maybe Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is on the right track here.
Speaking of Kwesi, we also asked if you thought the team would make any more significant trades before the league’s trade deadline in a couple of weeks. The majority of our readers feel that the Vikings are going to stand pat.
Only 42% of those who filled out our survey this week think the Vikings are going to make more trades ahead of the deadline. That’s probably a pretty safe bet, given the lack of draft capital the Vikings are currently sitting on for 2025, unless the team wants to start dipping into their 2026 cache of picks. I don’t see that happening, to be honest.
Lastly, we have this little tidbit from our friends at FanDuel. As we know, the Vikings are hosting a big game tomorrow against their division rivals from Detroit, and the majority of the money for this one is not going towards the purple cause.
Of those who have been putting their hard-earned money down on this one, two-thirds of them have been putting their money on the visiting team to cover the spread, which would mean an outright loss for our favorite football team. The Vikings have been proving people wrong all season so far, and it looks like they’ll have another opportunity to do that on Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis.
Those are the results of our SB Nation Reacts survey for this week, folks. We’ll be back with a new set of questions next week. As always, we want to thank everyone who took the time to participate in this week’s survey.
