Because it’s a good thing, actually.
Today, for those of us in the United States, is one of the biggest days on the calendar.
Yes, it’s trade deadline day in the NFL, and we’ll be watching to see if the Minnesota Vikings pull off any more moves before 3:00 PM Central time this afternoon.
But, seriously, today is election day in the U.S., and if you haven’t already done so, I want to urge everyone who has the ability to do so to find their way to the polls today and cast their ballot.
Am I going to tell you who I voted for or who you should vote for? Absolutely not. Why? Because you don’t care who I voted for, or at least you shouldn’t. Just as importantly, I don’t care who you voted for or are going to vote for. Just get out there and do it.
Also, there’s one important thing to keep in mind if you get to your polling place a bit later in the day: If you are in line when the polls close, you can NOT be made to leave. By law, you must be allowed to cast your ballot if you’re in line at closing time, no matter where you are.
The comments for this one will be closed, because we’re not going to have a political debate here. Again, I’m not endorsing anyone or suggesting you vote for a particular candidate over the other. I’m simply urging you to get out there and make your voice heard on this Election Day.
Enjoy your Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen!
