Can the Vikings get back on track?
Coming off of their first loss of 2024, the Minnesota Vikings are expected to get on track according to the folks who study this sort of thing.
According to FanDuel, the Vikings currently sit as a 3-point favorite over the Los Angeles Rams for their Thursday Night Football matchup this week. The over/under for this one is currently at 48.5 points.
The Rams are coming off of a 20-15 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7, just their second win of the season. The Rams have scored more than 20 points just once this season, putting up 27 in their Week 3 victory over San Francisco. They will also welcome back wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who has not played since suffering an ankle injury in Week 2.
The Vikings lost to Detroit on Sunday, 31-29, on a last-second field goal. That loss dropped them to 5-1 on the year and tied for the top spot in the NFC North. The Vikings are sixth in the league in scoring and have put up at least 23 points in every game they’ve played this year. They could also be looking at a significant player returning from injury, as tight end T.J. Hockenson could make his return to this one after suffering a knee injury late in the 2023 season.
Minnesota needs a win in this one to get themselves back on the right track. They have played one of the harder schedules in the league so far, but they can’t let off the gas now that things are looking like they might ease up a bit.
Do you think the Vikings should be favored in this one? Do you think the line and/or the over/under should be different?
