Injury designations for Thursday night’s matchup
The Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams issued their final injury reports for the Thursday night matchup, including injury designations.
Here they are:
Minnesota Vikings
- LB Blake Cashman, Toe, DNP (did not practice), OUT
- CB Akayleb Evans, Hip, LP (limited practice), QUESTIONABLE
- TE T.J. Hockenson, knee, LP, QUESTIONABLE
- RB Aaron Jones, Hamstring, FP (full participant), NO DESIGNATION
- OLB Patrick Jones, Shoulder, FP, NO DESIGNATION
- TE Josh Oliver, Wrist, FP, NO DESIGNATION
- DT Harrison Phillips, Shoulder, FP, NO DESIGNATION
- S Theo Jackson, Hand, FP, NO DESIGNATION
- G Dalton Risner, Back, FP, QUESTIONABLE
Blake Cashman is out, as expected, while Evans, Hockenson and Risner are questionable. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hockenson and Risner are on the active roster and officially moved off IR this time. However, the Vikings will need to officially announce that, so whether they do or not before the game tomorrow will be a big clue about their status.
Los Angeles Rams
- ILB Troy Reeder, Hamstring, DNP, OUT
- DE Braden Fiske, Back, LP, QUESTIONABLE
- WR Jordan Whittington, Shoulder, DNP, OUT
- NT Neville Gallimore, Shoulder, LP, QUESTIONABLE
- WR Cooper Kupp, Ankle, FP, NO DESIGNATION
- OL Joe Noteboom, Ankle, FP, OUT
- WR Puka Nacua, Knee, LP, QUESTIONABLE
There are a few developments on the Rams injury list.
Braden Fiske was limited on Wednesday after not practicing Monday and Tuesday and is questionable (50/50) to play tomorrow. That is an improvement and probably an indicator that he’ll play.
On the other hand, Jordan Whittington, listed as limited earlier in the week, did not practice on Wednesday and is officially out. Joe Noteboom, who was a full participant in Wednesday’s (and Tuesday’s) practice, is inexplicably out. Perhaps he suffered a setback in practice on Wednesday.
Lastly, Rams star wide receiver Cooper Kupp has no designation, meaning he’ll play unless the Rams choose not to play him (or not play him much) due to trade considerations mentioned Tuesday. The Rams’ other star receiver, Puka Nacua, is questionable for tomorrow’s game after having his IR return window opened on Monday. However, the fact that he was limited in practices since his IR window was opened makes me think it is more likely he will not play.
We’ll see.
