What do you think of the numbers?
The Minnesota Vikings will face another AFC South opponent on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the early betting lines have made them an early favorite for that contest.
According to the folks from FanDuel, the Vikings have been installed as a 4.5-point favorite over Jacksonville in early betting. The over/under for Sunday’s game is currently at 46.5 points.
The Jaguars are sitting in the basement of the AFC South with a 2-7 mark and are riding a two-game losing streak, although they lost those two games by a combined total of eight points. Jacksonville has struggled on both sides of the football and quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been a bit of a disappointment after signing his big contract extension.
The Vikings snapped their two-game losing streak on Sunday Night Football by defeating the Indianapolis Colts in a game where the defense did not allow a touchdown. They currently sit with a 6-2 record, which puts them in the top Wild Card spot in the NFC playoff chase at the midway point of the season. This game is the start of a three-game road trip for the Vikings, as after this one, they’ll travel to face Tennessee in Week 11 and then to Chicago in Week 12.
The second half of the season officially gets underway on Sunday afternoon at Everbank Stadium for the purple.
Hopefully, they can do what the early odds suggest they should do and start a new winning streak as they prepare for the stretch run.
