The Minnesota Vikings host the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. That has me thinking about the Bears QB situation. Caleb Williams is struggling behind a porous offensive line. He’s potentially on his way to being another very talented QB bust in Chicago. The Bears, somehow, have never had a good QB. The Vikings have struggled to find consistent play season to season, but have had some nice seasons.
The Bears have never had a QB pass for 4,000 yards or 30 TDs in a season. Sam Darnold is currently on pace for 4,314 yards and 36 TDs. That would be 476 yards and 7 TDs greater than any Bears QB ever. Statistically it would be the best season ever by a Bear. Darnold is 15-5 in his last 20 starts. He’s playing well and it looks to be sustainable. I am looking forward to January. Enjoy watching this team develop, it might look completely different next year.
