The Vikings moved to 9-2 on the season after taking down the Bears in Chicago, 30-27. Minnesota turned the ball over right away in the first quarter when Aaron Jones fumbled on Chicago’s two-yard line, and then Chicago would go on to take a lead. Minnesota would battle back and tie the game before taking the lead and never surrendering it until the final seconds of the fourth quarter. The Bears would score a touchdown and get the two-point conversion to make it a three-point game with just 22 seconds left. The Bears would attempt an onside kick, and the ball wouldn’t go a full 10 yards, but it would hit off of Johnny Mundt’s knee, and the Bears recovered. After a long pass from Caleb Williams, the Bears would kick a field to head to overtime,
Jonathan Greenard would sack Williams on the Bears’ for possession, and Chicago would have to punt to the Vikings. Minnesota would then drive down the field methodically, and when Minnesota hit Chicago’s 10-yard line, Kevin O’Connell elected to allow Parker Romo to attempt a 29-yard field goal to win the game.
