More Minnesota Vikings coaching staff and front office members continue to receive calls for interviews. Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Seattle Seahawks have requested an interview with Vikings assistant quarterbacks coach Grant Udinski for Seattle’s offensive coordinator position. Udinski, 28, has spent the last three years on the Vikings’ coaching staff.
Udinski also serves as the Vikings’ chief of special projects. He joined the Vikings as the assistant to the head coach/special projects in 2022 after spending two years with the Carolina Panthers.
In 2023, Udinski was promoted to assistant quarterbacks coach, where he helped the Vikings navigate the aftermath of Kirk Cousins’ season-ending Achilles injury. Udinski played a key role in preparing Josh Dobbs, who learned the offense just days before leading the team to wins over the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, keeping their season alive.
The Vikings’ unexpected success in 2024 has caught the league’s attention. Brian Flores has received multiple head coach interview requests. The New York Jets have requested interviews with QBs coach Josh McCown (as a potential head coach) and Vikings executive Ryan Grigson (for their general manager position).
