There isn’t much that brings the entire sports world together but one awful TikTok video had a user take the tragic passing of Minnesota Vikings cornerback Khyree Jackson as a chance to insult the man and now has everyone united in hating them.
In a stunning post on TikTok that has also gone viral on X, the user declares that from “what they know” about Jackson and his past, he was “a terrible person” and made a bunch of assumptions about what Jackson might have done to result in his death – clearly not knowing the cause of death being a car accident that he wasn’t responsible for – and further bashed previous low points in Jackson’s life:
You are truly an awful human being who doesn’t deserve to work in sports let alone have any type of social platform @Ricoknowstiktokpic.twitter.com/Erl7p4kqKJ

As you might expect, the wider social media world was furious that this user would use the tragedy that befell Jackson (and the two passengers in his car) for their own ends.
In the hours since that post went viral, current and former NFL players alike have come out to condemn the user:
“Your a weirdo and don’t know (expletive)! Been a solid dude since the day he walked in the building. Your interviews and your media platform is garbage anyways. Get off social media you a clown dawg!” Vikings cornerback and Jackson’s teammate Byron Murphy declared.
“I don’t understand why people do things for clicks.. you got a fucked up soul… you speaking on a bunch of he say she say shit… you don’t even know the man….” former All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant wrote.
“What a scumbag,” former pass rusher Shawne Merriman posted.
“You’re a punk who hide behind media. Don’t speak on nobody death that wouldn’t talk to you if you had his #,” Vikings cornerback Dwight McGlothern wrote.
There’s a time and a place for breaking down the worst things that the departed have ever done. Even many of the all-time greats had serious issues that stained their reputations.
But the hours right after a person’s tragic death is almost never the time or the place.
Awful. Simply awful.
