The good guys are still up by 10
We’ve reached halftime of this year’s NFL International Series contest in London, and your Minnesota Vikings lead the New York Jets by a score of 17-7.
The Vikings had the ball when the quarter started and they pushed into Jets territory, facing a 4th-and-2 from the New York 33-yard line. Rather than calling on Will Reichard, Kevin O’Connell kept his offense on the field, but Sam Darnold’s long pass for Jordan Addison fell incomplete, giving the ball back to the Jets on downs.
The Jets finally managed to pick up a first down on the ensuing drive, with Aaron Rodgers finding former Viking Tyler Conklin for a big gain into Minnesota territory. The Jets then found themselves faced with a 4th-and-1, and Braelon Allen was stopped short for a turnover on downs of their own.
The Vikings turned that drive into points, as C.J. Ham took a handoff and blasted his way into the end zone from the 2-yard line. Reichard hit the extra point and it was 17-0 in favor of the Vikings with just under four minutes left in the quarter. The drive saw several penalties on the Jets’ secondary in their efforts to cover Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, setting up the short touchdown run.

The Jets were forced to punt just after the two-minute warning as their subsequent drive was squashed by a Harrison Smith sack of Aaron Rodgers.

The Vikings had to punt away on the ensuing possession and a big punt return for the Jets set them up at the Minnesota 31-yard line. The Jets finally got on the score board, as Rodgers found Allen Lazard for a 15-yard score to make it 17-7 with under a minute left in the half.
The Vikings will get the ball coming out of the locker room at halftime, leading 17-7 over the Jets. Come join us for the third quarter of play from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London!
