Let’s do this thing!

Three Keys
1) Forget last week – It’s time for all of the Vikings’ players to have some short memories after what happened in the regular season finale. Yes, it’s the postseason, but the Vikings need to get their emotions in check and focus on the task at hand. After the season they’ve had, I’m sure that Kevin O’Connell and company don’t want this to end tonight, and hopefully it won’t.
2) Get Matthew Stafford on the ground – The Vikings had some times in the last matchup between these teams where they got pressure on Stafford, but he avoided it and managed to do damage down the field. If the Vikings want to keep the Rams’ offense bottled up, they’ll need to actually get to Stafford a few times and keep him from making extended plays.
3) Convert in the red zone – This one should go without saying, but the Vikings had a historically awful performance in Week 18 when they got inside the 20-yard line. They certainly can’t afford to have the same thing happen tonight. The offense needs to get the ball into the end zone and not settle for field goals if they want to have a shot tonight.

That should be everything you need to be up to speed on this one, folks. Remember that a new Open Thread starts at the beginning of each quarter, so keep your eyes open for those and move the discussion along accordingly.
Here’s hoping that in about three hours or so we’re all here talking about our matchup for the Divisional Round of the playoffs and not commiserating about. . .well, let’s not even say it.
SKOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL VIKINGS!!!!
