The good guys are already up by two scores
The first quarter of action from Lambeau Field is in the books, and your Minnesota Vikings are leading the Green Bay Packers by a score of 14-0.
For the first time this year, the Vikings lost a coin toss, and that meant the Packers got to defer to the second half and give the Vikings the ball first. Aaron Jones got the first two touches of the game against his former team and picked up 18 yards to get the Vikings near midfield. After a big play on a third down from Sam Darnold to Jalen Nailor for 32 yards, Darnold found the returning Jordan Addison for a 29-yard touchdown pass, Addison’s first reception since the season opener, and the Vikings had a 7-0 lead just over three minutes into the game.

The Packers took over and moved the ball down the field against the Vikings’ defense and eventually pushed into the red zone at the 16. A couple of negative plays left the Packers to settle for a field goal attempt, and Brayden Narveson clanged the 37-yard attempt off the right upright to keep the Packers scoreless.
The Vikings’ offense put together another nice drive, pushing deep into Green Bay territory, and a pass interference penalty gave the Vikings a first-and-goal. The drive ended with Darnold’s second touchdown pass of the day, this one a 2-yarder to Josh Oliver to make it 14-0.

Things got worse for the Packers on their next possession, as Love attempted to hit Christian Watson and instead was intercepted by a diving Kamu Grugier-Hill to give the Vikings the ball in Green Bay territory.
As we move to the second quarter, the Vikings have a 2nd-and-1 from the Green Bay 37-yard line.
We’re through the first quarter in Green Bay, and the Minnesota Vikings lead the Green Bay Packers by a score of 14-0 and are threatening for more. Come on in and join us for the second quarter of play!
