It looks like he’ll escape punishment for this season
On Monday, Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver Jordan Addison was supposed to be in a Southern California courtroom for his arraignment and possible plea hearing on reckless driving charges for his incident back in July. However, that date has now been moved.
The arraignment and plea hearing for Vikings WR Jordan Addison, stemming from two misdemeanor charges in July for DUI, is now scheduled for Dec. 3, according to Superior Court of California online records. Had been scheduled for Monday.

Addison’s court date is now scheduled for 3 December, according to Kevin Seifert of ESPN. That’s two days after the Vikings’ home game against the Arizona Cardinals and ahead of their matchup with the Atlanta Falcons in Minneapolis.
In late July, Addison’s vehicle was found blocking freeway traffic near the Los Angeles International Airport. When police arrived at the scene, they found Addison asleep behind the wheel of the vehicle, and subsequent news about the incident confirmed that Addison had been driving under the influence. He was charged with two misdemeanors.
As far as the football side of this is concerned, the timing of the new trial will likely mean that any discipline that Addison might potentially face from the league likely won’t come until the 2025 season. Addison could be suspended as many as three games for this violation under the league’s Personal Conduct Policy.
To his credit, Addison has stated numerous times that he accepts responsibility for what he’s done and is prepared to face whatever punishment the league might have for him as a result.
If any more news comes down on this subject ahead of the December hearing, we’ll bring it to you when we get it.
