The Minnesota Vikings traded up for the first round of April’s NFL Draft on Friday.
They acquired the No. 23 and the No. 232 pick from the Houston Texans in exchange for the No. 42 and No. 188 picks, along with a 2025 second-rounder.
This allows the Vikings to select a player who they otherwise wouldn’t be able to get had they not made the trade. They also have the No. 11 overall pick in the draft.
Fans think the Vikings could be planning another deal to try and move above No. 11 to select a quarterback since they don’t have one right now.
“Oh yeah. Vikings are 100% moving up for a quarterback,” one tweet read.
“Vikings are getting their quarterback. Will make for an interesting QB group in the NFC North this fall,” another tweet read.
“The Vikings adding ammo to trade up from No. 11 for a quarterback?” another fan tweeted.
“The Vikings are building the trade package to go get their quarterback in the draft,” another tweet read.
“Vikings’ prep for a move up for a quarterback appears to be in motion. We’ll see how that affects Giants sitting at 6 with rumors about NE at 3, Arizona at 4 expected to pick up the closer we get to the draft,” Giants writer Art Stapleton wrote.
Let’s see if people’s instincts are right over the next several weeks.
