Bynum is coming off another season of solid play at the back of the Minnesota Vikings defense. Starting and appearing in all 17 games for defensive coordinator Brian Flores, the fourth-year veteran finished the season with three interceptions, 10 passes defended, 96 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, and a 61.6 PFF grade, the 63rd-best mark out of 98 eligible players. The Vikings had a strong season, winning 14 games but ultimately fell to the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card Round.
Camryn Bynum originally entered the league as a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Selected by the Minnesota Vikings, the California product spent most of his rookie season in a backup role, appearing in 14 games while making three starts. However, even with the limited playing time, Bynum still showed promise for the future. While on the field, the rookie recorded one interception, three passes defended, one sack, 28 tackles, one tackle-for-loss, and one quarterback hit.
The fourth-round pick parlayed these promising results into a full-time starting job in 2022. While his 58.7 PFF grade reflected his inconsistency, he still put together a solid season with two interceptions, six passes defended, two fumble recoveries, and 81 tackles while starting all 17 games. He put it all together in 2023, having his best season while recording two interceptions, nine passes defended, 137 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, one quarterback hit, and a 73.2 PFF grade, the 21st-best mark out of 95 eligible players.
Since signing his rookie contract, Camryn Bynum has appeared in 65 games while making 54 starts. During his time on the field, the California product has recorded eight interceptions, 28 passes defended, three forced fumbles, 1.5 sacks, 342 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, and two quarterback hits.
