- As mentioned earlier, the Gold Glove Awards were announced yesterday with 14 first-time winners. The Central led the way for the American League, with five winners: Santana at first base, Andrés Giménez at second base, Bobby Witt Jr. at shortstop, Steven Kwan at left field, and Seth Lugo at pitcher.
