The Tennesee Titans had 91 penalty yards, while the Minnesota Vikings only had 35. Some of Tennesee’s penalties resulted from undisciplined play, like T’Vondre Sweat’s offside on fourth-and-one on Minnesota’s second scoring drive. However, Minnesota also benefitted from some missed calls.
The officials also whistled Mike Brown for unsportsmanlike conduct when it looked like he hit Jordan Addison in the head later in the drive, only for the replay to show he was in the chest. Later, the officials called the Titans for a horsecollar on a return where James Williams grabbed Brandon Powell’s shoulder pads.

The Vikings generated four of their five sacks without sending extra rushers. Will Levis had struggled against the blitz entering Week 11. However, he had a 98-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter and a 51-yard touchdown negated by an illegal formation against the blitz.
Still, the Vikings stifled Tennessee’s pass game by sacking Levis five times for 34 yards.

With his 31-yard catch early in the second quarter, Justin Jefferson passed Randy Moss (6,743 yards) for the most receiving yards by a Vikings receiver in his first five seasons. He later broke Torry Holt’s record for most receiving yards in a player’s first five seasons (6,784).
Jefferson finished the day with six receptions for 81 yards.

Sam Darnold has 14 giveaways this season. He was credited with a fumble on Minnesota’s first drive when he pitched the ball behind Aaron Jones, and Jeffery Simmons recovered it.
Darnold’s 10 interceptions and 13 giveaways led the league entering Week 11. Kirk Cousins’ season-high with the Vikings was 17.

Harrison Smith’s pick with 1:57 left in the game kept Minnesota’s takeaway streak alive.
Minnesota’s defense had a takeaway in every game leading into Sunday’s tilt in Nashville. However, the Titans came close to breaking the streak. Levis didn’t throw a pick until he tossed a ball into triple coverage with 1:57 left in the game. Smith’s pick sealed the 23-13 win for the Vikings.
