The Gophers add to their quarterback room
With only two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster this spring, head coach P.J. Fleck and co. were likely to dip into the transfer portal for another signal caller to bridge the gap between sixth-year senior Max Brosmer and true freshman Drake Lindsey. They appear to have found their man, with Virginia Tech quarterback Dylan Wittke announcing Tuesday night that he will be transferring to Minnesota. He will have four years of eligibility remaining.

Wittke was a three-star prospect coming out of high school, signing with the Hokies over 17 other scholarship offers. He did not attempt a pass in his brief tenure in Blacksburg.
