Minnesota has landed class of 2025 three-star combo guard Kai Shinholster. He made the announcement on X.com.

Shinholster — the 6-foot-5, 170-pound guard from William Penn Charter (PA) and the K-Low Elite Adidas 3SSB program — took an official to Minnesota the weekend of Aug. 29. Now, he’s a Gopher.
“I chose to be a Gopher because of how comfortable I was with the coaching staff and the players,” Shinholster told ZAGSBLOG. “And how much the coaching staff truly believes in me!”
Shinholster has become the first commit of Minnesota’s 2025 class. The Gophers are also involved with top-100 small forward Amari Allen and three-star shooting guard Keaton Wagler. Allen has previously visited and Wagler has one set for Sept. 13.
