Reaching across the border for a rush end
The Minnesota Golden Gophers’ camp commitments continue to roll in with a verbal pledge from rush end Rhett Hlavacka, who committed around midnight Thursday morning.
I’m incredibly grateful to announce my commitment to @GopherFootball after an amazing camp experience and insightful conversations with @Coach_Fleck @cjhetherman Thanks to all who believed in me! #committed #RTB pic.twitter.com/kiSpDld0TV

Scouting Report
Hlavacka has played safety and linebacker at the high school level, and last season earned first-team all-conference honors after recording 110 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and three sacks. Defensive line will be a change for him, but he has all of the tools that we’ve come accustomed to seeing in rush end recruits under head coach P.J. Fleck. Hlavacka is athletic, he can play physical, and he has the speed to drop into pass coverage. He has been lightly recruited up to this point, so it is safe to say he is a developmental prospect. We’ll see what defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere can do with him once he gets on campus.
