The Minnesota Golden Gophers’ “Summer Splash” continued into this weekend, with defensive end Jayquan Stubbs becoming the third of five recruits to grab an oar.
First of all, I want to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity.
I want to thank Coach Mac for guiding me and guiding our team.
I want to thank all the coaches that recruited me and believed me.I’m shutting down my recruitment.

Scouting Report
Stubbs is a two-sport athlete out of Ohio, competing in football and basketball. For an athlete with his frame, he moves very well. He is cut from the same mold as former Minnesota defensive end Esezi Otomewo, with the body, length, and athleticism the Gophers covet in a strongside defensive end. Stubbs could also very well have a NFL ceiling (much like Otomewo), but he’ll need to continue refining his technique as a pass rusher.
