No Black Friday shopping for Gopher fans this year
Change is coming to college football this fall, and now that change appears to include the annual rivalry game between the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Wisconsin Badgers.
The Inside Zone’s Matt Fortuna is reporting that college football’s most played rivalry is scheduled to take place on Friday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. CT, airing on CBS.
Black Friday has traditionally been reserved for the Heroes Game between Iowa and Nebraska, which will now kickoff in primetime at 6:30 CT, airing on NBC.
This will be the 134th meeting between the two programs. Wisconsin defeated Minnesota, 28-14, at Huntington Bank Stadium last season to snap a two-game losing streak to the Gophers and retake possession of Paul Bunyan’s Axe.
