As we hit the middle of spring, more players are entering the NCAA transfer portal – including a Big Ten wide receiver who was once ranked in the top 100.
According to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports, Minnesota wideout Dylan Wright has entered the portal. He leaves the Golden Gophers after two seasons with 35 receptions for 645 yards and three touchdowns.
This will be the second time that Wright has hit the transfer portal in his college career. He started his career at Texas A&M close to his home in the Lone Star State.
Coming out of high school, 247Sports rated Wright as a four-star prospect and the No. 70 overall player in the Class of 2019. He was the No. 12 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 11 player from the state of Texas.

But in three college football seasons, Dylan Wright has struggled to live up to his elite billing.
While he has shown to be capable of making long receptions, those have been few and far between. To date, Wright has only four games with more than two receptions and only two with more than three.
Arguably his best performance came in last season’s win over Wisconsin, when he had five receptions for 86 yards – both career highs.
Will Dylan Wright return to the state of Texas in his next transfer, or will he go elsewhere?
