The portal giveth and the portal taketh
Rivals’s Dylan Callaghan-Croley and the Pioneer Press’s Andy Greder reported Monday that Minnesota Golden Gophers offensive lineman Phillip Daniels has entered the transfer portal with three years of eligibility remaining. He started the final four games of the regular season at right tackle.
Daniels is an Ohio native, so I would not be surprised if he ends up at Ohio State. The Buckeyes have been aggressive in the transfer portal this month trying to bolster their offensive line.
This departure means head coach P.J. Fleck and offensive line coach Brian Callahan will need to go back to the drawing board in replacing both offensive tackles next season.
