The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame has done it again
Football season is back upon us. While Thursday night’s opener did not go quite as well as we might have hoped, it did allow the Minnesota fans a chance to see their favorite mascot get back to doing one of his football game traditions—push-ups after the Gophers put points on the board.
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame appreciates the traditions of college football and as such they have come out with a new line of college mascot bobbleheads for this season. One of them features our own mascot, Goldy the Gopher doing his after score pushups with an adjustable counter on the base so that you can keep track of the score of the next Gopher game, or keep track of just how many push-ups Goldy has had to do during the season. We’re excited to unveil this unique Minnesota Golden Gophers Push-Up Counter Bobblehead in conjunction with the start of the 2024 college football season,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “This bobblehead will be the perfect way for Minnesota fans to follow along as the Golden Gophers put points on the scoreboard each week for many seasons to come and a great way for fans, alumni, students, faculty, and staff to show off their school pride all year long!”
The window for pre-orders of the bobbleheads opened on Thursday. Each bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,024. You can order one HERE
This isn’t the first the time National Bobblehead Hall of Fame has made a special Goldy Bobblehead. In 2017 after PJ Fleck was hired as the Gophers football coach, they released a special Goldy Rowing the Boat edition bobblehead.
That one is long sold out, but you can pick up this one now and add it to your Gopher collection. If you are ever in Milwaukee, you can visit the The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum and see their impressive collection of bobbleheads from sports, to pop culture, to politics and everything in between!
