Brace yourself for an ugly game
The Minnesota Golden Gophers (2-1) will look to retain the Floyd of Rosedale when they host the Iowa Hawkeyes (2-1) Saturday at Huntington Bank Stadium at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The game will air on the NBC.
This Week’s Thoughts:
GopherNation: This constitutes an offensive explosion for the Gophers while Iowa hits three field goals to go with a defensive touchdown. But the Gopher offense moves the ball through the air, scoring a late touchdown to seal it.
gopherguy05: It’s ugly, especially if the rain comes for the third consecutive home game. Iowa has a better running game, which helps them in bad conditions, but the short passing game works just as well and the Gophers find a way to keep Floyd home.
Blake: See my opponent preview.
GoAUpher: Prepare to gouge your eyes out with rusty sporks.
zipsofakron: Kirk Ferentz has P.J.’s number and there really isn’t much he can do about it.
Ustreet: Pass the damn ball.
mowe0018: I want to believe, I really really do. But P.J. is going to go Iowa Lite again, and it took a colossal review to save us last year… Doubt the same thing happens again. I hope that I am wrong but the tea leaves portend doom.
WhiteSpeedReceiver: Minnesota will snap the ball for every single play in which points are scored, but Iowa’s offense is as pathetic as the state’s child labor laws.
wildcat00: Neither offense is any good. It’s going to be an ugly battle won by a kicker. Prepare to lose your mind.
