This Week’s Thoughts:
GopherNation: Bret made a deal with the devil.
gopherguy05: 0-10 vs Bert. Now looking to be favored at Illinois… The last time this happened, we lost. I sure hope I’m wrong and this is the year we finally figure out how to beat Bielema, but until I see it, I can’t predict it.
Blake: See my opponent preview.
GoAUpher: No seriously, f**k that dude. I refuse to pick Illinois on this basis alone and any logical opposition to my point is automatically invalid because it’s stupid.
zipsofakron: I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think they’ve turned a corner and the offense has some confidence right now. P.J. will have some tricks up his sleeve to finally beat Bert.
Ustreet: All else equal, playing Iowa ball against an expert tends to work poorly.
mowe0018: Any time P.J. seems to have turned a corner, he usually regresses. It is unlikely he fixes this tendency against a superior coach on the road.
WhiteSpeedReceiver: We’re a better team than Illinois and there’s no reason we should lose, but we will because Bert. I refuse to believe that we’ll beat him until after we do.
