A primetime fight for the Floyd of Rosedale
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. when the Minnesota Golden Gophers (1-1) open up Big Ten conference play by hosting the Iowa Hawkeyes (1-1) at Huntington Bank Stadium on Saturday, Sep. 21.
The game will be televised on NBC.
The Iowa Hawkeyes, one season removed from the firing of offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz, dropped to 1-1 with a 20-19 loss to in-state rival Iowa State at home last Saturday. They will host Troy this weekend to close out their non-conference slate before they head north to Minneapolis.
Minnesota escaped Iowa City with a 12-10 win over a ranked Iowa team last year to re-claim the bronze pig, marking the program’s first win at Kinnick Stadium since 1999.
