Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT when the Minnesota Golden Gophers (6-3) head to Piscataway on Saturday, Nov. 9 for a road game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-4).
The game will be televised on NBC.
Rutgers will be coming off a bye week when they host the Gophers. After starting the season 4-0, the Scarlet Knights have lost four straight. Starting quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis, who transferred from Minnesota, has struggled in Big Ten conference play, completing only 50% of his passes and throwing more interceptions (4) than touchdowns (3).
Minnesota has never lost to Rutgers. The two programs first met in 2016, when the Gophers eked out a 34-32 win over the Scarlet Knights at home. In their next two meetings, Minnesota outscored Rutgers by a combined score of 73-7, including a 31-0 shutout in 2022.
