When we know something, we will put it here.
GN’s Big Board
This is not based on sources or insiders or anything other than GopherNations’s preferred candidates.
- Chris Mack – Charleston – there have been no indications that Minnesota and Mack have been in contact.
- Ryan Odom – VCU – appears to be the favorite for the Virginia job. His VCU Rams just won the A10 and will be in the NCAA Tournament next weekend.
- Tony Skinn – George Mason – Zero indication that there is interest between Skinn and Minnesota.
- Ben McCollum – Drake – the former D2 coach who appears to be a favorite for the Indiana or Iowa openings.
- Will Wade – McNeese – if the right money and NIL commitments are made, he appears to be set to be NC State’s next head coach. Does not appear to be mutual interest with Minnesota.
- Bryce Drew – Grand Canyon – quickly moving up my personal list, I’m intrigued. Won the WAC as the 2-seed and will be in the NCAA Tournament next weekend. There was a report that Drew’s name was in the mix at one point.
- Eric Henderson – South Dakota State – the Jackrabbit’s season is over so Henderson has the luxury of being able to focus some time on this while others are getting their team’s ready for the NCAA Tournament.
- Drew Valentine – Loyola – the Ramblers lost in the semis of the A10.
- Niko Medved – Colorado State – currently on a 10-game winning streak and an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Tournament after winning the Mountain West.
- Alan Huss – High Point – only 2 years as a head coach, but in the midst of a remarkable turnaround at High Point.
