The Gophers have found their No. 1 wide receiver for 2025
The Minnesota Golden Gophers’ wide receiver room is going to look a lot different next season with leading receivers Daniel Jackson and Elijah Spencer both collecting their diplomas. Head coach P.J. Fleck and co. went looking in the portal for a transfer wide receiver to lead an inexperienced and unproven group, and they found him: Miami (Ohio) wide receiver Javon Tracy.
He committed to the Gophers on Sunday over offers from Michigan State, Indiana, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Iowa State, Boston College, Florida State, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Kansas, and Baylor. Tracy has two years of eligibility remaining.
Tracy is coming off a breakout sophomore season in which he earned first-team All-Mid American Conference honors after hauling in 57 receptions for 818 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. His 7.3 yards-after-the-catch per reception ranked first among all MAC wide receivers.
