How do you watch the Gophers vs Nevada and 3 keys to a Minnesota win
Time to get that second consecutive win before we jump into the meat of the 2024 schedule.
How to Watch
TV: BTN
Time: 2:30
Stream: FoxSports.com
The Wolf Pack are 1-2 with two close losses at home and a close win on the road. In their week one loss to SMU they were 27.5 point underdogs and had a 24-13 lead going into the 4th quarter. But they managed to give up two touchdowns and a safety to lose 29-24.
Minnesota is only a 17.5 point favorite can they hold off the Wolf Pack and come away with a win?
3 KEYS
- Just do that passing thing again – Please don’t go back into the shell. Let this offense live and breathe, let everyone continue to get comfortable and gain confidence that we can do more than just RUTM.
- Stay healthy – This isn’t a key to winning this particular game, but looking ahead I want everybody healthy for the Iowa game.
- Figure out the OL – It feels like every season the line starts out slow and gets significantly better by the end of the season. With this being the third game of the year, I’d like to see more consistency and better run blocking.
OPPOSING PLAYERS TO WATCH
- #6 RB – Savion Red – We have a former Big 12 running back transfer, they have a former Big 12 running back transfer. Red is a Texas transfer who is seeking more playing time. The quarterback has more carries on the season than Red, but shutting him down early will be key.
- #19 LB – Tongiaki Mateialona – Senior linebacker with good size and is making a lot tackles.
PREDICTION
So far we have hated one week and loved the next (at least offensively). The caliber of the opponent will step up this week over Rhode Island, but I think the Gopher offense has some confidence that will carry over into this game.
They need to continue to get better, this week has to be another step in the right direction. It’ll likely be closer than my prediction but I think a win should be expected.
Minnesota – 34
Nevada – 14
