From five, to just one last chance to win Super Bowl 59
After the Wild Card round we still had five Gophers who had a chance to keep their season alive in the Divisional Round. How quickly things can change. Four of the five remaining ex-Gophers saw their teams go down on Saturday and Sunday leaving just one former Gopher and his team standing. Congrats to Benjamin St-Juste and his Washington Commanders for being one of four teams left with a chance to advance to Super Bowl 59. For the rest, well, better luck next season. Below is a recap of how their faired in their games last weekend.
(6) Washington Commanders
Benjamin St-Juste—CB
St-Juste remained in a backup role this week playing just five defensive snaps and 19 on special teams in the Commanders shocking dominant win over the Lions. He did not record any stats. He and the Commanders now head to Philly to face a familiar foe in the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game Sunday afternoon.
(4) Los Angeles Rams
Tyler Johnson-WR
Johnson was inactive once again in the playoffs in the Rams loss to the Eagles. His future in LA is up in the air as he will be an unrestricted free agent.
(4) Houston Texans
Eric Murray-S
Murray played all 51 snaps on defense for the Texans in their loss to Kansas City. He made four tackles, all of them solo, added a pass defense and a QB hit in the loss.
(3) Baltimore Ravens
Rashod Bateman-WR
Bateman played 37 snaps in the Baltimore loss. He was targeted five times and made four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.
