Fife made six starts in his three years at Fresno State. In 14 career games, he completed 63.8 percent of his passes and threw for 1,585 passing yards, six touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Fife provides the Gophers with much-needed depth at the quarterback position. New Hampshire transfer quarterback Max Brosmer figures to be the starting signal caller this fall, and incoming true freshman Drake Lindsey will arrive on campus in the spring after he signs his letter of intent next week. Fife gives Minnesota a bridge between Brosmer and Lindsey.
