Scouting Report
Hopkins has primarily played wide receiver and safety at the high school level but he seems destined for the cornerback position at the collegiate level. That said, his versatility could be valuable to Minnesota defensive coordinator Danny Collins. Hopkins moves well and can change direction on a dime, allowing him to blanket wide receivers in coverage. He has also demonstrated impressive athleticism and play-making ability as a wide receiver, which should give him the tools to be a ball-hawking cornerback. This is an exceptional pick-up for Minnesota.
