Earlier this week, Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck announced that quarterback Jacob Knuth is no longer on the team. That’s because the Harrisburg product has entered the transfer portal.
Knuth, a former three-star recruit, has four years of eligibility remaining. He’s hopeful he can find a long-term home.
“After many prayers and difficult conversations, I have decided to enter the transfer portal with 4 years of eligibility remaining,” Knuth announced on Twitter. “Thank you to Coach Fleck, the entire coaching staff, and my teammates for my time at Minnesota-I’m forever grateful.”
Knuth’s statement was met with a plethora of kind replies.

With Knuth no longer on the roster, Minnesota has three scholarship quarterbacks left.
Athan Kaliakmanis and Cole Kramer will receive the majority of the reps at quarterback for Minnesota.
