Happy New Year everyone. To start off the New Year, we are finally (and to some mercifully) ending Fade Clay Travis with an update on where we gave our winnings. Thanks to commenters, we decided to give money to the following charities.
Minnesota Daily
Founded in 1877, which makes it only three years older than our illustrious blog, The Daily is a student-led newsroom that operates independently from the University but does maintain status as a student organization. Its mission is to provide independent student journalism and “comprehensive coverage of news, media, and events that serve the public interest and inform the University of Minnesota community.”
Damiano Center
Located in Duluth, the Damiano Center provides essential services to individuals and families who are in need, particularly those who are low-income, unemployed, and working poor in our community as simply and directly as possible. The Center provides free meals, clothing, and community services.
The University of Minnesota Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital Patient Family Assistance Fund
M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital is one of Minnesota’s top pediatric hospitals, ranked both regionally and nationally by U.S. News & World Report. The fund serves to provide financial assistance for patients’ families during their time at the hospital.
The Jacqueline Vincent Swan Music Scholarship at the University of Minnesota
To be fair, this was not suggested by our commenters, but since it’s “my” money I decided to donate to a personal cause.
Once again, thanks to Clay Travis for being absolutely shit at gambling, and to our commenters for the suggestions.
