The Gophers have landed a sought-after cornerback
Bucknell cornerback Ethan Robinson announced Sunday after his official visit that he will be transferring to Minnesota. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Robinson chose the Gophers over offers from Arkansas, NC State, Auburn, Cincinnati, Illinois, USC, West Virginia, Central Florida, Arizona State, and Pittsburgh.
Thank you to all the coaches that took their time to evaluate me and give me an opportunity. I will no longer be going on any other visits. I am committed to The University of Minnesota. Go Gophers! #RTB @CoachNJ_Monroe @Coach_Fleck @Coachlanese13 pic.twitter.com/0Qf1LMnGmE

In 31 career games with the Bison, Robinson registered 154 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, and 25 pass break-ups. He will be competing for the starting cornerback spot opposite Justin Walley. Former Elon transfer Tre’Von Jones is graduating after starting all 12 games for the Gophers this season. Redshirt freshman Tariq Watson and former Georgia Southern transfer Tyler Bride served as his primary back-ups.
