ANOTHER road win for the Gophers, this one behind Rigsby’s 20 points
The Gophers got 31 points from their bench and won their fifth consecutive game on the road, beating Nebraska 67-65 in Lincoln. After building up a 19-point lead in the second half, the Cornhuskers battled back even taking the lead twice in the final minutes.
Juwan Gary put back a Brice Williams miss with 4 seconds remaining to give Nebraska a 64-65 lead, seemingly completing the comeback. But Minnesota quickly inbounded the ball to Lu’Cye Patterson who sprinted up the floor, passed it to Brennan Rigsby on the wing and Rigsby nailed the three to win the game for the Gophers.

THE STAT: Rigsby led the team in scoring! The senior often will not see the floor, but on Saturday he was a key scorer for the Gophers. He obviously hit the game-winner, but he also hit an open three at the 2:12 mark. He was 7/8 from the floor and 5/6 from three.
TURNING POINT: The turning point was really when Nebraska turned this game from a blowout to competitive to nearly stealing a win.
HOT: Rigsby, duh.
NOT: Dawson Garcia struggled to score, got into foul trouble and missed the final couple of minutes due to what appeared to be an ankle injury. He was 0/4 in the first half for zero points and finished with nine.
NOTABLE: It was a game about the little things. Minnesota dominated the little things in the first half and Nebraska used offensive rebounds and Gopher turnovers in the second half to overcome the 19-point deficit. In the second half alone, Nebraska scored a combined 28 points off of offensive rebounds and Gopher turnovers.
NOTABLE 2: This is the first win for the Gophers at Pinnacle Bank Arena since it was built in 2013.
UP NEXT: The Badgers come to The Barn for the final home game of the season. The rivals tip off on Wednesday at 7:30.
