The NFL (and a former teammate) came calling
Minnesota defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere is headed to the NFL, where he’ll serve in the same position with the Arizona Cardinals.
247 Sports was the first to report the news.
The 27-year-old DeLattiboudere has made a meteoric climb through the coaching ranks since graduating from Minnesota. He returned to his alma mater in 2023 to coach the defensive line after one season as a position coach at Akron and two years as a graduate assistant with first Charlotte and then Oregon. DeLattiboudere became one of the program’s top recruiters and helped breathe new life into a defensive line that had stagnated under Brick Haley.
He will reunite with former Gopher football player and teammate Nick Rallis, who is entering his third year as the defensive coordinator for the Cardinals.
A February coaching staff departure puts head coach P.J. Fleck in a difficult position, so don’t be surprised if he promotes internally to replace DeLattiboudere.
