Scouting Report
Begalle averaged 16 yards per reception last season, hauling in 74 catches for 1,252 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. He has good speed, reportedly running an 11.02 in the 100-meter dash as a sophomore. If you’re looking for a wide receiver with sure hands and the ability to catch the ball away from his body and come down with passes in traffic, that skillset is there for Begalle. I don’t see a lot of yards after the catch on his film, but his quickness and twitch are evident in the separation he creates before the catch with his route running. I would expect to see him lining up at slot receiver for the Gophers.
