KEYS TO A GOPHER WIN
Force turnovers and don’t turn it over – Indiana has not fared well with turnovers this season, ranking 283rd in turnover %. But they also haven’t really been burned by them, winning most of their games when turnovers were at their worst.
Miraculously make threes – I know that I’m asking for a miracle here, but if they get hot from three, this will absolutely be interesting.
Don’t let Garcia disappear from the offense – Maybe my biggest frustration this year is that Garcia will go lengthy stretches of the game without touching the ball in a meaningful way. In both of the games in Florida this occurred and I think it was more of a function of the offense than it was that Garcia was vanishing. Get him the ball, run the offense through him.
PREDICTION
Based on KenPom’s prediction model, this is the Big Ten road game where we have the 3rd best shot at a win. So you’re telling me there’s a chance!
Frankly, I am not impressed with Indiana this year and Mike Woodson may be looking for a job in April. A Gopher loss tonight might speed that up, but I have little to no confidence in this Gopher team either. Indiana is better and should get their first Big Ten win of the season at home.
Minnesota – 71
