Ryan Eichten and Leo Sun break down the Wolves start to the season as well as Leo’s trip to Sacramento for the Wolves first win of the year
On this week’s episode, Ryan Eichten and Leo Sun talk about Leo’s experience at the Minnesota Timberwolves’ first win of the season in Sacramento and the 2-1 start to the season.
— The Wolves have started the season 2-1. How are we feeling about their start and how they’ve played so far?
— Anthony Edwards currently leads the league in 3-point attempts with 13.3 per game. Is that too many or should he keep shooting at that volume?
— The Timberwolves had a 9-man rotation through their first 3 games with Joe Ingles being the last player off the bench. Should the Wolves be trying to find playing time for their young players like Josh Minott or Rob Dillingham?
— Julius Randle has made his debut with the Wolves. The first game was pretty rough but he played great in the next two matchups as he was able to exploit the smaller defenders of both the Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors.
— Rudy Gobert signed a 3-year, $110 million contract extension. Was this a good move for the Wolves and what does it mean for the future contracts of Randle and Naz Reid?
— Nickeil Alexander-Walker has been fantastic to start the season. Chris Finch talked before the game against the Raptors about NAW finding his role within this team and the turnaround NAW’s career had when he met Mike Conley.
— Leo was in attendance for the Wolves game in Sacramento. The fear in the crowd whenever Ant had the ball was palpable.
— The Wolves have come out of the gates bombing 3-pointers as they currently have the fifth most attempts. Is that just a small sample size or is that style here to stay?
