On today’s podcast, Ryan Eichten and Leo break down the Wolves regaining their full rotation on their way to a 5-game winning streak
On today’s episode, Ryan Eichten and Leo Sun break down the Minnesota Timberwolves’ regaining their full rotation of healthy players, including Rudy Gobert, leading to their second five-game winning streak of the season.
— During the Wolves’ current five-game win streak, Julius Randle is averaging 17.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game. He has given Minnesota exactly what they need as the Wolves have won the last ten games with Randle in the lineup.
— Each of the last five wins has come against losing teams. While the Wolves are playing much better than they did earlier in the year, they will need to prove this recent upswing is for real against better teams.
— Donte DiVincenzo has continued his scorching hot shooting, making more than half of his 3-point shots in the last five games. His shooting ability has opened up a Minnesota offense that has lacked quality shooting most of the year.
— With the entire roster back healthy, Jaden McDaniels has remained a dominant force on both ends of the floor. The worry was his increased production would go down with Randle back on the court, but there has been no production dip for McDaniels.
— After an up-and-down first half of the season, Chris Finch has done an outstanding job smoothly transitioning the Wolves from playing young guys in the face of injuries to working each of their veterans back into the lineup off the injury report.
— The Wolves currently sit as the seventh seed in the Western Conference, only a half game back of the Golden State Warriors who have also won five games in a row.
