Naz Reid first heard the roar of the crowd when he was introduced before the Minnesota Timberwolves home opener. Reid then heard the crowd again when his big fourth quarter helped propel the Wolves to the win over the Miami Heat.
Reid said that sort of love from the fans, plus his role with the team, was what kept him in Minnesota. Reid signed a three-year extension, instead of testing free agency, this past summer.
“I wasn’t going anywhere,” Reid said. “I love it here, man. It’s special. It’s definitely a place I want to be and develop. … Each and every year, I’ve gotten better, so there was definitely no reason for me to leave.”
